The Owner Occupied Repairs program is designed to assist homeowners in maintaining the safety and livability of their homes by providing financial aid and resources for necessary repairs and improvements. This program ensures that individuals and families can continue to live in secure and well-maintained properties, enhancing their quality of life and preserving community integrity.

To qualify for Rise & Restore home repair program
You must show that your current home is in poor condition, is not energy efficient, or is unsafe.
Home Repair Program Steps
Step 1: Confirm that you meet the program qualifications.
Applicants must:

Own and live in their home in Beaufort or Jasper County. Note that mobile homes over 10 years old do not qualify for this program.

Be current with their mortgage payments and property taxes. Note that reverse mortgages do not qualify for this program.

Cannot exceed the income limit of 80% of the area median income

Have owned and lived in their home for at least two years.

Have an adequate homeowner insurance policy.

Demonstrate a need for housing repairs by showing that the current home is in poor condition, is not energy efficient, is unsafe, or does not meet city code.

Step 2: Meet the income guidelines.
To qualify for the Rise & Restore home repair program, you must not exceed 80% of the area median income listed below per month for your household size.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a preliminary questionnaire and NOT an application. If you meet pre-qualifications, you will be added to our interest list. Once our application has been re-launched (in September 2024),
we will contact you regarding next steps.

Step 4: Apply
Those who submit eligibility questionnaires that meet our program criteria may move forward to apply. The application can be completed online, printed and completed, and emailed or mailed to Rise with Living Hope.
